Allergic to knicker elastic!

Daughter has eczema and her skin gets very irritated at the tops of her legs and tummy when in contact to knicker elastic. Girls' underwear is driving me mad as it always seems to have fancy lacy-ish elastic on the knickers and vests! Boys' underwear doesn't have this, and on pants the leg and tummy elastic has a 'sewn-over' seam. I used to buy her knickers from H&M as they had the 'sewn-over' seam but they only seem to go up to age 8. They also do vest and boxer shorts for girls which don't have the lacy bits on but again only up to age 8. However, she'll be 9 next month and I can't seem to find anything suitable any more.

I know I could just buy boys pants but everything is so damned gender-specific these days and it seems hard to find any underwear that's just either plain white or bright colours like orange or red. Everything's blue or dirty brown! Yuk.

Also she's getting to that age when she's getting a bit choosy about what she will and won't wear so it would be nice to get some bright, patterned underwear that she won't complain about wearing!

Does anyone know of any shops that do this type of underwear without being ridiculously expensive?

Thanks in advance!

Know what you mean - dd won't wear her Next knickers as they're the same.
Have you tried m & s?
