11 year old dd with sudden eczema

Hi not sure if I posted in the right place. My 11 year old dd developed eczema about 3 months ago,the doc has given her some hydrocortisone cream and I have been using aqueous cream also. She has also been absolutley full of cattarah for the same amount of time which she has been given a nasal inhaler for.

The doc is certain it's some kind of allergy but I can't begin to think what it could be. I just wondered if anyone has any experience of these sudden onset of symptoms, she is so dry,itchy and snotty in just want to do something to help her.

Can he just do that? I will make another appt and see if he will refer her. She is so miserable as she has never been Ill let alone had anything like this.

Can you develop an allergy to something you previously were fine with? Sorry for all the questions but I have never had to deal with this before.

Not animals as we don't have any and prob not the pollen as this all started end of Jan. You may have hit on something with the mold as I had severe problems with it when it was very cold although it seems to be under control a bit now.

She did have a nasty cough for about 5 weeks which seems to have eased a little and the doc said her chest sounded clear. The mold thing has worried me now I will get onto it asap.
