Shall we try cutting out dairy?

I am panicking a bit.

Ds is nearly 2 and his eczema is getting worse at an alarming rate. At the same time he has a permanently snotty nose and a wheeze.

Antihistamines seem to help him.

I have a half baked notion that perhaps we could try eliminating something from his diet and see if it makes a difference?

If I cut dairy, (1) do I have to cut out ALL dairy, or just milk?, (2) how long would I need to do it for to know if it made a difference?, (3) do you think it is worth a try?

it's worth a try. Cut out all dairy for 2 weeks then reintroduce. I suggest reintroducing only live yoghurt and cheese at first as both cause less problems than milk. Or reintroduce goats milk, which causes fewer problems than cows milk.

If you think there is a problem you should then cut it out again and reintroduce to confirm it while seeking advice from a dietician on other sources of calcium.
