My LO 19mo is lactose intolerant but also has a problem with bloating after eating and i mean really bloating

I spoke to our dietician yesterday and they said to take her off the soya yoghurts i give her.

Do i also need to keep her off soya in other foods ??? if so is there anywhere i can get further info as not sure what to do or what to give as an alternative

Sorry for all the questions i was v busy when they rang me back

what about the lacto free milk that just come out

bloating is difficult as it can swallowing too much air when eating, too much or too little fibre or a reaction to a lot of things. A lot of soy may cause a problem when smaller amounts would be OK. I wouldn't avoid soy in cooked food unless instructed to specifically.

Have you tried being gluten free? It's known to cause bloating in some people and lactose intolerance can be caused by a problem with gluten. Sometimes lactose can be reintroduced when the person has been off gluten a while. Or you could try giving her digestive enzymes like peptizyde.

Thanks for the replys

The dietician asked if i had excluded anything from her diet but i didn't really want to without taking advice 1st iyswim.

Think i try excluding the soya yoghurt for a week or so see if that makes any difference, then maybe try excluding other things.

Just wish i could get some answers this has ben going on since she was 6 months old it seems i get one aspect of the problem sorted only for another to crop up.

Sorry for the moan
