a big thankyou to all you MN who recommended AVEENO! have only been using 4 days but the difference is remarkable, all the red,sore patches have gone even on her face and dont have to use hydrocortisone cream any more,have even got it on prescription-yippee-ehy dont the gp,s tell u about it?

for some reason they don't. It cleared up my son's eczema too. So annoying they give you steroid cream first, which only works if you use it all the time.

Unfortunately it hasn't helped me (I have had eczema badly since I was a baby) but I have heard that it's great for wee ones who aren't already steroid dependent.

gP'S DON'T LIKE TO TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS V.V EXPENSIVE!!??
ALSO V.V GOOD IS S.O.S SKIN RESCUE CREAM AND PORRIDGE OATS WHICH IS WHAT AVEENO IS DERIVED FROM

other thing I have found fab is calendula cream I bought at the Health food shop - brilliant for cleaning up ezcema spots on my dd2.
