Toothpaste allergy

I've recently developed an allergy to toothpaste. Eyes and nose run, lips tingle and trouble swallowing. That's with Colgate Total. Allergies are a way of life for me but this is new. "Natural" toothpastes are just as bad. I assume it's the foaming agent sodium lauril sulphate. Using bicarb of soda instead. Anyone any suggestions for extremely basic toothpaste?

take the local health food store or Holland & Barrett. They will stock ones without SLS.
