Food Allergy Mums will have a special Christmas celebration meeting this Saturday, the 12th of December from 9 until 11.30 am at 75 Glade Road, Marlow, Bucks SL7 1DQ. With the holiday season fast approaching and all the thought that needs to be put into how to manage exposure to allergens at festive celebrations, I think there will be a lot to discuss.
James Gardner, the Children's Allergy Nurse Specialist at the Royal Free Hospital in London, will be attending as well and has kindly offered to answer any questions you may have. James previously worked at St Mary's Hospital, London, the largest children's allergy service in the UK. In addition to working with allergies, James has a severe egg allergy and understands the difficulties and anxieties of families with allergic children. Prior to nursing, James was a chef and has been working on some allergy-free recipes!
As usual, Starbucks will be donating the coffee but I would like to ask everyone to bring something Christmas-y to eat.
