Camel Milk Chocolate

Hi,

I moved from London to the Middle East 18 months ago, my little girl is allergic to cows milk protein so is dairy free. I recently came across this absolutely delicious milk chocolate made from camels milk, it tastes very similar to swiss chocolate. Although there has been limited studies done on cross-reactivity between cows milk/ camels milk, the ones that have been done have found no evidence that dairy allergic children react to camels milk, something to do with the protein molecules being vastly different. I had my daughter tested and she has no problems with camels milk.

The company is called Al Nassma they have a website, I am not sure if they ship overseas but I thought I should share this info with other mums.

Hi, the last time I was in Saudi Arabia in October, I noticed Camel Chocolate was being quite heavily promoted, I have not seen it before and have been going to SA for 6 years now.

I didn't try any, but perhaps I might next time out of curiosity!

Hi all,

I tried some of this Camel's Milk Chocolate, in Dubai, last May, when breaking my return trip to the UK, from Australia, where I had been to a Memorial Service, that had been held for my eldest son.

My thoughts are that it's far too expensive to be anything other than an occasional treat; being very much an extremely luxury product. Besides which, it tastes very "sickly" and is far too sweet!

Give me a bar of "Green and Blacks" anyday.

Hi tedwoodbear, I don't know your obviously sad story, but didn't feel I could leave your post unacknowledged. I am sorry for your loss, no one should have to suffer the loss of a child, no matter what age.

Hi alibubbles,

Thank you, for your kind message. Obviously, I do not know, if you too have suffered the recent loss of a much loved family member. But, if you are, then my thoughts are with you. I know it is a hard thing to do, but try not to dwell on the loss, but remember the good times you had together.
