Can anyone tell me if it is safe to introduce peanuts (not whole) when weaning at 6 months. E.g. peanut butter?
On the BLW weaning thread we have pondered whether "exposure" to peanuts via breastmilk is enough of a test of allergy. Is this true?
I read that if there is a history of asthma in the family then peanuts shouldn't be introduced until 3 years+. I had asthma until aged 7-ish but no longer suffer. Does this count as history? I read somewhere that this only applies to peanuts and other nuts should be safe.
Can anyone tell me (and the other BLW-ers) if this sounds right?
Its not that dd has to have peanut butter but if I need to avoid it I'd like to know.
