Aveeno cream. It's fantastic stuff (it's just oatmeal cream). It's available on prescription.

We had almost miraculous success with changing our washing powder to Surcare (easily available and not expensive). Also Aveeno and Eumobase (the latter is probably not available on prescription but is easily available). Plus porridge oats in the bath (in a muslin or pop sock). Also, I keep their finger nails so short that Amnesty Internation would start jumping up and down if they saw them. But it does prevent the scratching being quite so damaging. It may be worth contacting The National Eczema Society who gave me some really sensible advise eg washing clothes at 60 and giving them an extra rinse to remove soap residue. That said, DD's eczema is staging a flare up - might be suntan lotion or strawberries. Will have to experiment on her! But everyone is different so just keep trying in a fairly scientific manner. Good luck
