hi just thought id start this thread to see if there is any one out there in the same boat, my 5yr old son has just been diagnosed with this relatively new allergy, he reacts to foods and creams with salicylates, benzonates and histamines . usually it starts with a red ear, then an itchy rash spreading eventually to all over his bod, he becomes quiet and sad and very mummy-fied and clingy he also becomes quite sleepy. sometimes he gets headaches, earaches and starts to swell at worst . luckly ive never seen it go any further than this, we manage to calm it down by then with medicine. im struggling to read all these labels, the list of histimine high food is intense. and the sun cream issue is still a nightmare if anyone has a suncream with none of these ingrediants in please let me know! salicylates, benzonates and histamines are the culprits to my sons problems

cheers

I have just had a quick look at a sunscreen i bought for my dds (have various food/chemical intolerances)

it seems ok as per your list, but obviously I'm better at reading labels for my dds issues, so sorry if i've missed somehting.

Anyway, the band is Lavera, is 30SPF, and a spray on on eofr easy coverage.

If you want an ingredients list, give me a shout, and I'll do my best to type it out!

fab stuff, where did you get it? today i spent ages in boots and read almost every type of suncream label in there. i might find the makers or stockists will say whts in it so it will save you trying to type it all out. thankyou thankyou!

I got it in an independent health food shop in guildford.

I think it's a German make (scans label hastily). yes it is, and they apparently do a range of shampoo/soaps etc.

the one i have is in the baby/child range, think they do an adult range too (but that might have other additives, obviously)

the one I have is similar to this, but mine is Neutral, rather than perfumed.
