Hi

I'm a long time reader but rarely post .

My LO is coming up to 11 months now and has ben on Pepti formula since 9 months ish, been having problem since 6 months with dairy IMO stomach cramps, bad nappies etc.

Have seen a dietician and she recommended using the Pepti formula and having a dairy free diet then to introduce a v small amount of cheese to begin with and see what happens.

Last night i did LO pasta, chicken and made a sauce with her milk and a small amt of cheese, ate abut 1/2 of it, went to bed ok at 8:30pm but woke at 12am screaming like she did before we went dairy free and continued to wake virtually every hour throughout the night.

This morning she had a bad nappy which she hasn't had for ages either.

So i a now wondering if this was a reaction to the cheese or was it too quicka reaction??

Any ideas gratefully recieved

Cazz

Have you been referred to an allergy specialist for proper testing?

The reaction doesn't sound allergic though, it sounds more like an intolerance, did she have a rash or vomit?

I would suggest you avoid all dairy until you can be seen by a specialist.

Hi thanks for the reply

At the moment we have just been referred to the dietician we are seeing her on 1st June again.

No rash that i noticed or vomit.

Just spoken to someone in dietician office and she said to avoid dairy for a few more days see if she goes back to normal then try again, and then discuss it with the dietician at the appt.

I'm finding it really hard to get any information on how i should be doing things and how to gauge a reaction to dairy etc
