Lovely GF cafe in Launceston

We were on holiday in Cornwall this week, and found the Mad Hatters cafe in Launceston has a whole gf menu - pizza, quiche, pasties, scones, lasagna etc etc. All made from scratch right there and in a dedicated area with dedicated utensils. Really, really tasty, and they seem very passionate about making the food really tasty.

Thought someone else might find the info useful

Great tip -- wonder if they would extend to dairy free?

They do do dairy free, and things were marked. But honestly couldn't tell you how much was df as I was being overwhelmed by a choice of things to eat.

They were lovely though, and as they do gf in response to being asked to do it, I'm sure would be responsive.

You can preorder to collect bread etc to take away - website is www.glutenfreefood.org.uk

Fab! Better than stopping at Exeter services...

and slight hijack, but name of Formula regulations where one cannot discount it. I may have made a complete idiot out of myself as there was formula being marked down at my local organic shop. I told them they couldn't do it as it was an incentive to buy, and they took it off the shelves, but then thought there might be a distinction between newborn and 6 months plus and this was for over 6 months....

CMOTdibbler · 09/05/2009 23:33

it's the Infant Formula and Follow on formula regulations. Follow on isn't covered by the ban on promotions alas as the UK have failed to implement this - so they were OK to discount the 6m+ stuff

Thanks! Will print it out and give to the manager of local organic store along with a bit of humble pie

Thanks for the tip CMOT, we always struggle to find GF stuff when we go out to eat, so that will be brilliant when we go down in the summer.
