DS1 reacts to every suncream I have tried with him so far. DD is fine. DS2 is unconfirmed. What can I try that is a high factor and preferably without parabens in?

TIA.

have you tried ROC sensitive?

it was the only suncream my son could use when younger, it still dried out his skin, but only mildly.

it was recommended by his GP

FabulousBakerGirl · 06/05/2009 10:28

Thanks. I will have a look at it.

We had a thread about this the other day, try here:

{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/allergies/743738-Ezcema-and-Sun-Lotion-Please-can-anyone-help?pg=1}

Some really good advice! I tried sunsense and it is great.

BlueBumedFly · 06/05/2009 19:54

Ah, rubbish at links. Hmmm, go to the topic page, go to allergies and run down till you find one by me called Ezcema and Sun Lotion.

Hope this helps!

I've been using P20 on ds for 10 years, he comes up in hives with all the rest. I've tried and tested loads, this is one that doesn't cause an allergy so we stick with it. It's more of a clear, brown liquid then a cream.

FabulousBakerGirl · 06/05/2009 20:55

Where can I get it from please?

Wilkinsons. It's about £10 a bottle, doesn't make him itch though so well worth it.

BlueBumedFly · 06/05/2009 22:18

Fab - you can get sun creams on prescription you know if you can make a good case for it.

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 06/05/2009 23:40

Hmm. A bottle lasts us a year so I don't mind paying for it.

FabulousBakerGirl · 07/05/2009 07:39

I would just buy it tbh as my GP would just laugh at me if I said DS1 gets a rash from sun cream.

Thanks for all your help.

Shops it is.

DS has asked me to buy Ultrasun again. (Waitrose/John Lewis) It is a once a day one

MIL has just got a BOGOF of the massive bottle of Boots one. Gah! Have told her to keep it for the other kids.
