silly question regarding egg allergy and newly hatched chicks!

hoping i can get some words of wisdom here

DD2 has an egg allergy - but seems to be ok with egg as an ingredient, just reacts to scrambled egg / quiche etc.

at nursery they have this glass chicken box thing and today the eggs hatched into chickens. all kids v excited. the nursery staff said they would let the chickens out in a few days, as part of circle time etc.

is there any chance DD could be allergic to them / or to the egg they hatched from? i will tell her not to touch (not sure they will be going that close anyway) but don't know how careful the nursery needs to be with her.

or is that really stupid? i mean, she eats chicken no problem. now i feel even more stupid writing that last point

anyone know? TIA

I think she'll be fine. I vomit if I eat scrambled egg, quiche etc, though in my case it's the white that causes the problem, since I can eat fried/boiled/poached yolk. Oddly enough I can eat meringue and cake, so like your DD2, I think? (Apparently it has something to do with de-naturing proteins through the cooking method, but I can't say more than that, sorry.)

I've kept chickens with no ill-effects.

thank you! interesting you can eat fried, boiled, poached yolk.
she also seemed ok when we made pancakes, though didn't eat much as wasn't made on them.
