Aller-eze nasal spray

My 12 yr old suffers hayfever and I've been trying to track down where to get more of this stuff. Our current nasal spray has run out.

The active ingredient is azelastine hydrochloride and it's suitable for 5+ years. Unfortunately, all other effective nasal sprays are for over 18.

I've tried Boots, Tesco and another independant chemist but they have no idea what I'm talking about. Am I going mad?

Anyone else recently bought this or have they discontinued it?

Thanks.

I'd be interested in answers, too, for my two!

We are actually going to hte doc's on Thursday because I'm not going to have another summer spoiled for them.

Following our GP appointment yesterday:

we were prescribed nasal sprays (Beconase) for the 10 and 12- year old and anti-histamines. The GP said that, having worked in paeds, she is relaxed about breaking the under-18 rule because it only exists as no trials can take place on children to test the sprays.

So we're spraying Beconase mornings and evenings.
