Few questions for Neocate users...

Currently trying to get my DS to take neocate. So far up to half breast milk / half neocate so am aiming to just keep uping the neocate over the next few weeks. Also using it in food where possible.

But having not used formula before I've got some (probably) stupid questions...

  • can you make the neocate formula up in advance ie for taking into nursery. I know you can with ordinary formula but not sure about these formulas.
  • what can you add to it to make it more palatable? (i think I saw a thread where someone said nesquik)
  • does anyone have any other suggestions / experiences of how they got their DC to accept it?

Thanks!

Hi yes you can make in advance and store in fridge for 12 hours

You can add Nesquik (we used strawberry)

DS1 was 18 months when he went on to Neocate but we just gradually upped the proportions of it and he was fine.

DS2 went on to Pepti Junior at 12 months and we had huge trouble getting him to accept it, but just kept on offering it and gradually he drank more and more although it did take a long time.

I think if you're up to 50/50 you'll get there fine.
