Its from mothercare its the hypoallergenic one. I got it home, got it out the packaging then realised its 50%polyester. I rang the customer care line and they said it will be ok as I'll have a cotton cover over it and that unless DD is actually allergic to polyester it will be fine. But I don't know what DD is allergic to, all I know is that I was advised to keep her clothes and bedding cotton because of her excema and psoriasis, I assumed hypoallergenic meant it would be cotton!

I actually noticed that the grobag she has used this and last winter is the same, cotton cover but polyester filling so maybe it will be ok? Wish I'd just read it before opening the packaging.

you should be fine. As long as her covers and sheets are cotton, she will be fine. tbh, I don't know anywhere that does 100% cotton cased duvets for less than a small fortune. If in doubt could you put 2 covers over it?

Agree with differentID. I think the advice is to have cotton next to the skin as it is breathable and helps prevent overheating (which makes eczema worse) but obviously you do want a winter duvet to be warm.

Thankyou both. What made me worse was that I was flicking through Aspace catalogue at all the stuff I can't afford and came across one that was 100% cotton and cheaper than the mothercare one.

I have never in my life bought a duvet as not lived alone long and was given mine so wasn't really sure what I should be looking for.
