Does anyone know what crisps are safe for a nut/peanut allergic child? I am also looking for cake bars and haven't found any which don't contain traces of nuts.

I think Pom Bears are ok?

Maybe try thre health food store for no nut cake.

Good Luck!

Waitrose definatly sell the Its Nut Free cake bars in their Free From section.

You can search Ocado for nut free - nut free crisps etc

I think most of the online supermarket sites show you allergen content

Thanks. My ds is the allergic child and I don't buy many cakes etc because I bake a lot and I don't buy crisps because I don't really eat them myself. Its a class party and the parents are providing the food but it won't be from waitrose or ocado. I'll get stuff for ds but if there is anything in packets that others bring in the teacher can let him have it.

I've looked at pom bears and he can have those. He can also have jaffa cakes and penguin bars.

McVitie Black Forest Yule Logs - on 2 for 1 at Sainsburys so someone may send them. Or Jaffa cakes - but be careful as not all own brands are Ok (Sainsburys are). Walkers crisps and hula hoops (whoever makes those) are fine and popular with children. In fact most crisps will be fine, they can be the only thing mine gets to eat at some parties once the other children have scoffed any contribution from us!

Most swiss rolls are no good.
