Anyone heard of or have any experience of cold urticaria?

Yes, I get it. Its a nightmare. I've never mentioned it to anyone because everyone just seems to laugh but its horrendous. I get it in air conditioning, a cold breeze, swimming pools, anything cold really. Not sure if there's anything that can be done

oh my god someone has heard of it! im sorry you suffer from it. My 9 month old son has an skin condition/allergy that we're trying to get to the bottom of, i suggested this but is unlikely in a baby apparently. Basically comes out in a red angry spotty rash on exposed areas mainly face when we go out in the cold it can then spread over arms and legs but will fade over a few hours once warm again. sound at all familiar? we have cut out all dairy except formula on advice of HV and im wrapping him up very warm! has improved slightly but still feel a bit confused????!

DD gets this on her face - greatly improved with liberal application of vaseline before going out.

thanks, have tried this with aqueous cream, all seems better back on dairy and off the piriton, so far so good. my gp mentioned that cold urticaria can be controlled with antihistamines, might be worth looking into for those of you who suffer from it xxx
