when should I switch dd2, 16 months back to cows milk. She has been drinking goats milk for about 6 weeks after an illness at christmas appeared to make her intolerant to cows milk... she had runny, smelly, pale poos 4-5 times a day. Symptoms have gone since drinking goats milk.
How long would you leave it before trying cows milk again - or is it just a trial and error thing?

try cheese or live yoghurt before normal milk as they are less likely to cause a further upset, something to do with the processing. Our gp couldn't really tell us when to try again but after 6 weeks I think you could try some cheese/ yoghurt.
