1 year old mild reaction to hazelnuts

My 1 year old reacted to hazelnuts recently, he had a rash around his mouth and neck. No other symptoms and it went within a couple of hours. I sent a photo of the rash to the GP and asked if he would be referred for an allergy test but he just prescribed antihistamines and said he has to avoid hazelnuts from now on.

Do I push for an allergy test or does he just avoid them forever? Or do I try again and see if he still reacts?

I would push for a referral, it would be good to get skin prick tests for the all the nuts and see what you’re dealing with. Has he reacted to anything else?
