Milk allergy and ladder

My DD 4 has a non-ige milk allergy and cannot tolerate soy milk, we’ve attempted the milk ladder countless times and always fail at beginning of stage 2 but it seems in recent attempts she reacts at the very first step of 1/4 biscuit and most recent attempt of 1g of a biscuit a day she’s having daily toilet accidents and itchy skin symptoms but no loose stools. My gut is telling me to stop but I can’t help but feel guilty (not that I can do anything about it I know) has anybody else experienced this? That their child’s tolerance is worse the more you attempt? I leave months in between trying and we have only had a slip up reaction once or twice. My dietician is absolutely useless and offers no helpful advice just calls every six months to check she gets enough calcium intake lol. Any advice if I should give up completely or any other approach I can try

Yes , my DS is 11 now, milk allergy diagnosed at 1, milk ladder attempted a few times, always makes him worse. He actually has really sore tummy aches now even without exposure and I wish I hadn’t tried all those times now, as I worry repeated attempts may have made this happen - but drs reassure me that’s not the case.
