Sudden onset itching

I’m a female aged 44 and about 3 months ago a sudden all over itch. It feels a bit like prickly heat slight pinching sensation. sorry for TMI but the area around my groin and vulva is particularly bad. i would say heat definitely aggravates things.
Had bloods done. Low ferritin (although it’s been low for years) so started iron but still wouldn’t explain why now. Had kidney/liver function checked.
It’s now affecting my sleep so will have to try and start Fexofenadine but i didn’t want to.
Any other suggestions what it may or shall i put it down to another perimenopausal sysmpton??

No idea on that one sorry. Is the Fenofexadine helping at all?

@BunnyRuddington not particularly no. it’s just a type of antihistamine but apparently non drowsy.
my skin doesn’t seem or feel dry so thought putting cream will make no difference but yesterday i caved in and put some hydrocortisone on and it definitely helped. Would be good to get to the. bottom of what’s causing it
