Coeliac test negative

Ok - finally got through to hospital. Ds2's coeliac test was negative and his wheat allergy test negative too. His IgE levels were slightly raised at 187. If he was only intolerant to wheat could that raise his levels slightly? I know wheat upsets him as he's been off it before and bloating, stomach pains and wind improved. I know that you can't test for an intolerance. Secretary said to note down any rashes and food diary.

Get specific test numbers next week - not holding my breath! Don't see consultant again until August. I suppose we just keep him on wheat until then.

if you think wheat upsets him then surely its better to take him off it now? now you had the test...especially
im pretty sure my ds is intolerant as all his bad symptoms have gone since hes stopped having it. nappies ok again, ezema improved, less wind and no bloating.

I could take him off it now, but consultant wanted him to remain on it until August. At the moment his physical symptoms have reall settled down - apart from the bloating. He has been having severe mood swings, but not sure if that's just an age/hormone thing or due to wheat.
