Help me cope with my angry boy

Ds2 (almost 8) been wheat free for 3 years. Went back on wheat in New Year - had blood test 5.5 weeks ago for coeliac / wheat allergy. STILL waiting for the results.

He is normally a lovely boy and still is very well behaved at school. However, at home he is angry, tearful, argumentative..... His physical symptoms have settled down - poos are reasonably stable and not complaining of stomach pains, although stomach is still bloated. Emotionally he seems a wreck and hardly sleeping. I'm so desperate to take him off wheat again to see if his mood settles down, but need to wait for the results.

I can't stop getting angry with him and I know he feels as if everyone is getting at him, but he's so horrid to his brother and particularly his 4 year old sister. It could just be an age thing and hormones as I know ds1 became a bit awkward at 8.

Just needed to rant. How long do I have to wait for the results? Consultant said 2 - 4 weeks. I'm going to ring at 6 weeks.

The results should have been through by now. Do ring them after the Bank Holiday. My son was diagnosed coeliac and allergic to gluten at the age of 14. I had put his grumpiness etc. down to being a teenager but once glutenfree he reverted to the cheerful child he had been before. They really do feel awful if they are sensitive to gluten/wheat - even adults experience depression etc. while on a gluten trial. Hope the results come through soon.
