Hiya

Last week my son had a blood test for coeliac diease and to check his IGe (?) levels to see how much of an allergic person he is and the RAST test came back quite high and he is susceptable to certain allergens - we presume mostly milk but know there could be others.

I have to call the consultants secreatary to get his august appointment brought forward.

Any ideas what will happen now?

he will be allergy tested for certain allegens now, seeing as he is obviously highly allergic.

the thing you need to try and do before you go is watch him and see if you can spot foods that you think are the cause, as it will give them a good basis for the skin-prick tests.

they don;t want to do lots of pointless skin-prick tests, they will want to go for the ones that are the most likely IYGWIM.

when I went for mine, I already knew I was allergic to milk as my bloods had proven that, but I was still reacting so they asked lots of questions, asked me my general diet, and also symptoms, and then went for what they thought would be the most likely candidates!!!

mine were airborne alllergies plus tree-fruits!

good luck
