Puramino constipation

Hi all, my little boy has been on puramino for 2 weeks. He has been so much more settled but is only having dirty nappies every 2nd day and is straining/pushing a lot in between. Crying with gas at times. Do I persevere when he seems so much more settled or ask to change milk?

Theres not many options beyond puramino. Every 2 days is normal range, as is putting in some effort.

Might be worth asking your health visitor for some advice on what normal expectations are and prompts for review. If your journey to puramino has been a diarrhoea based one then it’s difficult to get a perspective of normally.

@ScaryM0nster journey to puramino has been constipation. Constipated on normal milk , moved to nutramagin - ok for a while then blood and mucas in dirty nappy and now puramino. So constipation could be allergy. Puramino is soya based, so wondering do I need one that is not soya based but don’t want to change unnecessarily either. So difficult to know

Well worth having a chat about what’s normal.

My daughter also has constipation issues, and my calibration was off. To me a missed day felt like a huge deal. Whereas actually it’s normal and if the pop is also in the normal range it’s ok.

@ScaryM0nster can I ask did your daughter push/strain/grunt a lot in the days she didn’t have a dirty nappy? If he wasn’t doing that I wouldn’t mind but just worried that’s a sign it’s not agreeing with him but maybe it’s not a sign
