Anyone tried these, are they any good, do they help. Can't seem to shift dd's excema at the moment.

I've tried them with mixed results. At first i thought that DS1s excema had improved with them , then it flared up again. maybe it helps a bit but depends on the child. he just had patch test for chemicals and didn't react to any, so i suppose it depends how sensitive your DD is to wash powders. Washing performance not as good, had to give up using it for the whites as they became greyish! Not good at getting blood out either, but what is? I don't use biological wash powders tho as i heard they were worse for allergies. Th wash balls would be handy to take on holiday though.

I didn't think they really cleaned, the same with soap nuts. Clothes came out as though they had just been washed with water.

I use Filetti for ds's clothes which seems to help.

I use ecover at the moment.

I use eco balls, I find they clean real good, only problem is you can't really fill the machine, otherwise the clothes don't come out so clean, and if you have really grimy clothes (like football kits etc) you need to use a stain remover as well.

Since I've been using these, my dd's eczema has cleared (although I did change a lot of other things at the same time, like baby shea and jojoba oil in the bath). But I would definately say these had something to do with it because he used to get it on the back of his neck and the back of his legs (where his clothes used to rub). When I started using eco balls it stopped flaring up. When I went on holiday I used fairy non bio and it came back up.
