Hi everyone!!
just wondering if anyone else has the same problem as me.
i have a 15 week old little boy. He struggled to latch at birth due to a TT and following a difficult time which ended in a c section we ended up formula feeding. His latch was never the best on a bottle tbh but he managed and we tried lots of different bottles and tests to find what worked. He started to have some issues feeding again at around 9 weeks so he actually had his TT divided which didn’t make a difference. Since then his feeding has just got worse. He has been on kendamil. I thought he maybe starting to have a slight bottle aversion as he arches his back, screams, gets so upset at times when feeding but other times he will drink okay, it’s really odd. Even when he drinks okay he will now only take 3oz at a time. Occasionally he will take another 2oz or so 15 mins later but the whole feed is a battle and i dread each one it’s really getting me down. He’s also only been poopint once every 3 days or so and it’s massive and explosive when he does really smelly. I just tried a bottle of hipp organic as I’m desperate at this point tbh for anything to work and he has drank that absolutely fine. Is it a fluke! Has anyone else had a baby that simply doesn’t get on with kendamil but does with hipp? I’m not entirely convinced it is a bottle aversion as he is so on and off sometimes fine sometimes not and more often than not he won’t be that upset by the bottle just he tries a bit of milk then decides he doesn’t want it! He’s the same whether it’s been 6 hours since a feed or two. If this doesn’t help I’ll be taking him back to the gp on Monday but when we have gone before as he is still following his line they weren’t interested!

Could he need to go up a teat size?
I know that wasn’t your question but just a thought! As for the formula mine both had hipp and no complaints but I can’t compare to the kendamil.

he’s on mam size 2 atm. I have tried the threes but even the 2 seems a little fast for him which can cause him to cough, this upsets him even more more bless him so I don’t think it’s the teats! He’s gone back to being awful this evening so tbh I’m thinking more along the lines of silent reflux now as he will seem so hungry then take a few sips and scream irs awful xx

My little girl didn’t get on with kendamil but was fine on Hipp organic :)
very similar to yours would not drink as much and acted like she had tummy ache. Would also get constipated when on it. All stopped when we made the switch xx

Lots of threads on here saying the same thing. If he's happy with Hipp Organic I'd swap to that.

Kendamil seem to spend a lot on advertising to convince new Mums that it's the best formula but it's not the best of your baby won't bloody drink it Wink

Kendamil is no longer produced in the U.K. and I’ve seen on fb groups how babies aren’t getting on with the formula now. It’s apparently still uk milk but something must be different.

They are good at marketing and had huge demand but then had shortages and even at one point couldn’t fulfill subscription orders . In theory they seem a great option but in reality it’s an issue for parents using Kendamil
