We’ve had our cat for 6 years, we recently were asked by a friend who’s lost their mum if we’d have their mums cat as well, he’s a gorgeous friendly boy and we’ve agreed.
day 1 today and my eyes are SO itchy, I feel like I’ve got itchy skin on my face and keep sneezing. He did come and lay on my chest earlier which I was happy about as he was purring away so I thought great he’s feeling comfortable but I’m now extremely uncomfortable! 😣
we currently are keeping the cats in separate rooms, have introduced them through a gate, but was planning on carefully integrating them over the next week or 2. I’m worried we’re going to go through 2 weeks of hell, for potentially me not being able to cope with #2 and have to rehome him and unsettle him again,
Anything I can do to alleviate the symptoms or am I just allergic to him?!
