Hi i'm wondering if someone can help, my ds is 13 weeks old and had this rash under his chin since he was around 4-5 weeks. It is constantly weeping and scabbing over on repeat, i apply all the creams but no improvement. Docs have given him 3 seperate rounds of antibiotics, fusidic acid and two rounds of steroid cream, the only thing that improves it is the steroid cream but it goes down and then seems to flare back up again, do you think it's something i'm eating? my dd had CMPA and i suspect he does too so haven't eaten dairy since he was born and i've recently cut out egg which i thought was helping but has now flared back up again. Going to try push for allergy testing at the docs but with the long waiting lists i would appreciate advice.

My daughter had a rash like this. For her it was mostly a dribble rash but it was worse when she was reacting to a food so we needed creams and identifying the allergies
Have you cut out soya?
What are you using for dairy replacements? In addition to cmpa my daughter reacts to soya, coconut and pea protein so navigating dairy replacements has been interesting!

Thank you for your reply, i have cut out soya too but interesting to know about the coconut/pea protein as i definitely have a lot of coconut in my dairy alternatives. did you end up getting allergy testing or was it trial and error to see what was wrong? i have no idea if it's eczema but even so it seems like it's being caused by something

As my daughter has delayed food allergies unfortunately testing wasn't an option so we had to keep lots of food diaries. She has 20 in total so it took time!
