I've been having allergies which I hadn't noticed untill of late when I started getting hives and swollen face.
And also having respiratory issues do to allergies too and another unknown cause that I have failed to clearly I identify.

I have been given some medicine to manage allergies but they don't seem to respond.
And also got some serious cough for months now and I can't breathe well. It worse at night. I fail to sleep and cough a lot. During day I cough out some very thick solid coloured mucus.
Please anyone with an idea what it is.
I tested for TB and it was negative. And don't have any asthma history. My right side of the chest hurts a lot when I cough or breath. And grasp breath when I over move or do a lot of activities and on steep places.

Have you had any blood tests? Obviously secondary to allergies, but Low iron can cause air hunger and make you short of breath on exertion. Vitamin D can help with improving respiratory health.
Reflux can cause coughing at night as the acid can burn your lungs as it comes up when you are lying down, sleeping propped up a bit can help with this, along with Omeprazole.

Could it be an allergy to House Dust Mites?

Thank you so much for this. Actually am low at iron and had acid reflux issues sometime back.

Though last week I had a severe attack. I lost breath to a point of going to the hospital and the doctor said it was acute asthma. I got some asthma IV meds which helped with the breathing. And I was told to treat the cough. I was given some strong antibiotics but it's almost a week now and the cough is still on though not so bad. But having some pain under my right lung which I thought was a muscle strain due to over coughing. I don't know what to treat anymore.

Could it be a chest infection? I’ve had to have steroid tablets and sometimes several different antibiotics to clear mine recently. I think it might be dust or mould causing my problems.

I always thought it was a chest infection. But after having strong antibiotics the cough can't go away. But I also noticed a feeling of something stuck in my throat. Then the burning feeling in my stomach. Followed by stomach pain when I drink something. I also have this chest pain under my right breast bone and sometimes it goes in the right side of my back. Later today I felt more of the symptoms of what am not sure of. (Nausea) But I have a feeling it is a bad acid reflux. But am still wondering can it go to as bad loss of breath? Or into Asthma symptoms?
