Can you get a banging headache with hayfever?

I've done nothing but sneeze for the last few days, woken up this morning, still the same but with a banging headache that i can't seem to shift.

Zirket doesn't seem to be working and i'm due to go out for lunch soon

I have done in the past when my sinuses have got particularly inflamed with it. Are you using a nasal spray of any kind?

lovemyshoes · 04/05/2008 10:44

Nope, not got any this year, just zirtek and eye drops. Seems particularly bad this year for some reason.

sort of glad about this thread as Zirtek isn't working for OH and it always has doen - perhaps its cos of the big bang verison this year - normally it takes a few weeks for the syptoms to come ...

Yeah, I only normally use the nasal spray for if I get a lingering sinus infection after a cold, but this year I've had to use it continually for hayfever, so I think there must be more pollen about or something.

my top tips for raging hayfever: get a nasal spray as well - beconase or something like it. It's available OTC. rub some vaseline into your nosrils (as far as you can pick) as this really helps trap the pollen on its way in. Wash your hair before you go to bed. and get a saline nasal spray to wash out your nose.

Otherwise, install draft-proof windows and top class air-conditioning. clearly not the practical solution!
