Ramipril

Had my first dose of Ramipril last night 2.5mg and today I have diarrhea and pain. Do I stop taking it? I also take Atenolol in the morning which I tolerate ok and have been taking for a while. Couldn’t tolerate Calcium Channel blockers: tried two different kinds so was hoping I’d cope with an ACE inhibitor. Any advice would be welcome

I wonder if it’s a side effect of Ramipril or a stomach bug. From what you say I’m guessing you think it’s a side effect.
I would give 111 a call and see what they say.
I recently had viral gastroenteritis lasting three weeks and on medical advice had to stop taking some of my regular medications while having d&v.
