Milk ladder - reaction poo?

My son’s been back and forth working upto cheese on the milk ladder. I thought we were clear so moved onto yoghurt yesterday.

Last 2 days his poo has been yellowy runny and smelly. I’m wondering is this an allergy reaction? He doesn’t have any other symptoms.

Also does this mean we will need to stop the milk ladder?

Go back to a previously safe step. Give it a few weeks to get back to baseline and then try again. If the same happens wait 3 months before trying the next step.

We usually give two chances a few weeks apart as my daughters loose poos have multiple causes and this allows us to see if it's the ladder more clearly
