Is it dairy sensitivity?

Hello, I’m a little worried about my 4.6 week old BF with occasional formula bottle baby’s tummy troubles. He’s been having a lot of gas and being pretty unsettled for the last week. But today he has had a lot of mucus in his poos and is being a little fussy when feedingl, he won’t really settle unless he’s being held today. I sent a picture to our HV who isn’t too worried and said just to keep an eye on things. She thinks it could either be he’s getting to much foremilk and to make sure he’s emptying my breast, I feel like he already does this as my breasts are normally soft and much lighter after a feed, if that doesn’t help then to cut dairy from my diet and keep a food diary, I’ve cut dairy from today so hoping this helps as it’s really tough seeing him upset and uncomfortable. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or been through something similar with their little one? I’ve attached pictures of his latest poos. Any advice welcome.

For that age it looks fairly normal to me, although it has been a while! My eldest is reactive to cows milk proteins and has been since birth. It took a while for it to become an issue, weaning was when it became noticeable. His dirty nappies would trigger very bad nappy rash no matter what I did, like it was too acid/alkali and hurting his skin.

Hi, you can definitely see the mucus stringiness and they look a little green too? Neither of these things definitely indicate CMPA but you could exclude from diet to see. My little girl has CMPA and we saw a difference within about 2 weeks of me excluding dairy. Have attached a mucusy poo photo
