Nutramigen formula issues

Is anyone else having major issues getting hold of Nutramigen?!

Our DD has CMPA and has been on Nutramigen for ages (as DS) but we are having increasing issues getting hold of this…. Is anyone else experiencing this?

we order in advance but either (1) manufacturer shortage or (2) unreliable deliveries and we’re left panicking every single time!

Is anyone else experiencing this? Where do we turn?

And Before the brigade starts if I could have breastfed I would have much preferred to!

Can you call the manufacturer and ask them? We used this milk, and I found exactly the same - so unreliable. I asked go to give me an extra prescription so I could have a few tins extra

Hi we also are on nutramigen and only get 4 tins each time so we are constantly stressed about feeding our LO.

I received a text from the pharmacy this morning saying his prescription was ready to be collected only to arrive and be told they can't get the milk and to try somewhere else. All other pharmacies near me also can't get hold of nutramigen.

It appears nutramigen 1 and 2 were recalled in January, I wonder if this has caused such a stock issue.

I'm waiting for my GP to call me back and will be requesting an alternative formula as I have read multiple forums over the past few years regarding stock issues with nutramigen.

I hope you can get some soon or an alternative.

Yes my little one was prescribed this yesterday after spending the night in hospital and I’ve spent the whole morning phoning round trying to find it. No pharmacy has it.. I’ve literally found 2 tins but that’s it…
I have researched and Aptamil Pepti 1 can be prescribed also, so I don’t know whether to contact my gp and find out if that’s more readily available. This morning was stressful enough trying to find it, I don’t want this constantly!

I’m really glad to hear it’s not just us but I’m not glad to hear others are struggling.

It’s beyond a joke. We get 6 tins at a time but we have to send a tin down to our childminder every few days so that depletes our stock at home and like you all we’re constantly panicking!

we too need to talk to the GP about an alternative!

We are having the same issue, just about to run out of milk for our little boy. It's the only one he hasn't reacted too.
His dietician isn't answering her emails or calls, the doctors surgery keep saying the dietician needs to be the one to sort it. I just want to scream.
Whay are we supposed to do if we can't feed our babies

Oh it’s such a horrible feeling isn’t it. I always end up having to apologise to people on the phone for getting mad but I say you have you understand I’m panicking that I won’t be able to feed my baby.

our GP has just changed us to Aptamil Pepti because it’s easier to get hold of

This happens intermittently with nutramigen…..easy enough for GPS to prescribe another EHF though
