I haven't tried those, but used to be given ice cubes wrapped in a beer cloth by the landlord of my local to hold over my eczema type flare ups - twas very soothing and calmed the urge to scratch

wondered if you had ever tried gel packs for this - you can get the mr men ones for bumps and bruises but maybe they would serve the same purpose? Can be kept in the fridge and don't melt!
