MMR and Allergies

Hi
Sorry if this has been done already somewhere. My specific query is relates to any possible link between allergies and autism.
I am aware that being egg allergic my 14 month old could have an allergic reaction and so we have been advised to have it done in hospital.
Research seems to indicate that MMR is safe in the vast majority of children. However there may be some children who may be predisposed to develop autism for whom it is not safe.
My worry is whether being atopic (and so having a faulty (for want of a better word) immune system makes a child predisposed to develop autism/ bowel disorders?
Does anyone know anything about this? I am so confused as to what to do as having single vaccines would preclude her from having the jabs in hospital which is clearly the safest place should an anaphylactic reaction occur.

My DD2 also has an egg allergy. She did have the MMR in hospital and was fine.

However, apparently it is no longer grown in egg culture, so there is no need to have it in hospital. I insisted, so they did, but there wasn't any need.

The private clinic where i was considering single jabs also said neither the MMR or single jabs are egg-based.

ds is the same age, with food allergies / intolerances and eczema. I feel exactly the same way as you do, and will be opting for singles.

hi sunflower
I think my autoimmunity issues affect my sons ability to cope with MMR - he developed ASD and bowel issues within a short period after MMR and I have avoided for my DD - who is now 5 and fine.
I think the gal you need is Yurt - try posting this on SN board
