Log burner

Hi I am thinking of buying a log burner. I have mild asthma, it only effects me when I get a bad cold. Is there anyone in this group of a similar situation who uses a log burner and would recommend ?

I wouldn't get one again, no. When I was pregnant with my eldest, the midwife did that test you puff into to check your lungs. She checked whether I definitely didn't smoke - I don't, it turns out the log burner was having a similar effect.

I'm not medically qualified at all but that did scare me a bit! I wouldn't advise it.

My youngest suffers when we go to my parents - he’s like you and only sporadically suffers w asthma. Wood smoke dust and damp are big triggers for him.
