I am a lady in my 60s and have a dreadful allergy rash all over my body. Not sure what from but I had just been in hospital so we are thinking of the bed sheets and harsh washing powder or drug allergy (but unlikely).
It is so painful, is covering most of my body and looks like sunburn. I have been prescribed steroids and strong antihistamines. I have had it for a week and it is really getting me down.
Has anyone else had anything similar?
I am also thinking of when I have recovered and any products I can use on my skin to keep it healthy and strong. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you! 🙏🏽

If it's urticaria, yes there are a few of us who post about our experiences with this.

Mostly there isn't a cause, just skin decided to go mad. It needs a lot of antihistamines for a long time.

I've had mine on and off for 20 years now - but with big gaps when I didn't have it at all.

Are you sure it’s not shingles? I get itchy hives by they are like little fluid filled blisters. Have had them for a few years now (not constantly) and can’t get to the bottom of it. I think it might actually be a reaction to cold weather as that’s the only correlation I can find. Don’t get them in summer time and they seem to flare up when it’s cold. A few day of antihistamines helps.

What drugs have you had? My DH had a horrendous itchy rash that covered his body like that from a medication. It took quite a while to go down.
