Hi hoping for some advice from anyone who’s baby was on aptamil Pepti. My baby is 12 weeks old and has been on Pepti 1 formula for about a couple of months and has been a different baby. His doctor now wants us to try weaning him back onto normal formula to see if he has grown out of it. We have started by reintroducing normal aptamil formula by giving 3 scoops of Pepti and 2 scoops of normal (he has 150ml bottles). He hasnt had a poo for three days. Finally just had one it was really watery and he really struggled getting it out and cried afterwards as if it hurt him. Do I need to persevere as he’s just getting used to it or is this a sign he needs to stay on Pepti 1 for longer

I think it sounds like he has mom-Ige CMPA and your GP is trying to cut costs.

Have a read of the article from Allergy UK, above, and see if you think he has the symptoms.

Has the GP referred LO to a Paediatric Dietician?
