Aptamil pepti HELP!

Hi all.
My DS is now on aptamil pepti as we are wondering does he have a cows milk allergy. Has all the symptoms so Doctor has prescribed this for him. Honestly he’s just so unsettled and seems to be in pain! His little spot rash has got even worse, water like poo’s and mucus. Constant bringing up bottles too, sometimes spit up or can be projectile. Started off with sounding like he had a cold and has progressed from there from 1.5 weeks old. He’s nearly 5 weeks old. I know it can take time for his little body to adjust but just wondering has anyone else had the same thing? I know it’s different for every baby. Some people have suggested goats milk instead?
many help would be greatly appreciated as I feel like the worst mum in the world and it’s so upsetting seeing him this way.

hello @Mindie90 how are you getting on with it now? My LO has been on it for 2.5 weeks and ag first thought was great if not a little windy but seems to be getting more windy and poo are lumpy liquid, not sure where to go from here! Can’t bear hearing them scream in pain passing wind when that didn’t happen before I don’t think!

Hey @Fran91
okay so we ended up changing him onto nannycare goats milk. I couldn’t bare it anymore! It’s been the best thing for him and has worked wonders! Also I use Freda baby Windi which is amazing too! If he’s really struggling I use one just to help him. He ends up releasing a lot of gas and goes to the toilet. Not recommended to use all the time though! We are dealing with reflux too which usually goes along side cows milk intolerance. I didn’t ask my GP I just switched, was fed up feeling like I wasn’t being listened to!
