There’s no ready made of the allergy formulas - can I take a tub of sma alfamino in myself ?
i have a severe allergy to dairy as does my dh and our 2 dc are also allergic (they are 2 and 5 now , one needed Neocate and the other sma alfamino)
For this baby I’ve decided I won’t bf as with the others it was too stressful cutting so much from my diet.
We are just going to buy the formula ourselves as I don’t think the Gp will prescribe ‘just in case’ but we are happy to pay for it. I’m just wondering will we manage ok with hospital as would have to take powder ? Dh can stay with me to make it up etc so shouldn’t be too hard and I’ve got some little sterifeed disposable bottles so won’t need to sterilise equipment but will the midwives think it’s odd! I’m just not prepared to go through what we did before so assuming that this baby will also have a sensitivity to cmp
