Patch testing experiences

Has anyone here had patch testing? I'm talking about the sort of thing where they put strips on your back and then have a look a couple of days later. A dermatologist has suggested I get it done, but she doesn't do it so am trying to find someone who does.

I'm trying to choose between 2 options. One is T.R.U.E test (36 allergens) and will involve 2 appointments is £500 and the second one is 40 alllergens and I think they tailor some of them to the symptoms you have and, will involve 3 appointments (they sometimes add different allergens at the 2nd appointment) and is £800 (it's in London).

My gut feel is to go with the London one as it seems more thorough but not sure whether the extra expense is worth it.

I'm so sorry that you have to pay. I had it done on the NHS many years ago.
