Hello,

since 2021 I have been experiencing a range of GI symptoms. I was referred for a gastroscopy which revealed nothing other than gastritis (inflammation). I have been taking lansoprazole for the acid reflux which helps.
Not long after I starting getting other symptoms such as bleeding from my back passage when going to the toilet, nausea every morning which can last for hours (if not the entire day), shooting stomach pains, and shooting pains in my back passage.

I was referred for a colonoscopy which also revealed inflammation (proctitis). They took biopsies (to understand what was causing the inflammation) which was negative for IBD and I have no signs of an infection. The biopsies
show ‘non specific changes’.

I may be referred for further investigations such as a Sigmoidoscopy, and they are re looking into the origins biopsies they took to see if they missed anything.

If anyone has had similar experiences or know what may be causing this/ may help this I would appreciate all the advice.

thanks so much
