Gluten intolerance advice

I've recently discovered that I seem to be intolerant to gluten. It's likely that it's been a mild problem for years, but in the last two months it has ramped up so much that it has been unmistakable. I've been experiencing intense stomach discomfort, nausea and drowsiness soon after eating gluten. Needless to say, I've cut it out and symptoms are improving. However, I've noticed that my stomach looks very big and sticks out recently, but this hasn't improved yet. Is this normal? It's been about a week since I last accidentally ate some gluten.

Ideally keep eating gluten and get tested for coeliac.

Also, though, people who are coeliac or who have gluten intolerance are often also intolerant to lactose, so that might be worth considering.

Was going to say that when my grandchildren (2 of them) were diagnosed, DD had to cut out lactose with them for a few months too.

If you're getting bloating, you should really get tested for coeliac. And check your foods well, wheat is often in things that you'd never imagine wheat being in.
