Combi feeding with neocate

My baby has multiple allergies and has been prescribed neocate as the elimination diet I'm on the starve off any chance of allergens in my breast milk is unsustainable for my health.

The problem is that my 10 month old hates the formula and now just wants to breastfeed although she used to happily take expressed breast milk in a bottle.

Will combi feeding in this instance not work as neocate and breast taste very different? I've tried slowly introducing the formula but if the bottle has even 30ml she refuses it. I'm concerned that if I stop breastfeeding she'll refuse all milk feeds. She drinks water from a straw cup but not very much.

Anyone with similar experiences?

Have you tried adding vanilla essence to the formula @MoMuM7 to make it more palatable?

Can I just check that you're not eating the allergens? It might be early but I couldn't quite work that one out

She only needs 400 mill of formula a day anyway and if she's getting BFs too it doesn't have to be anywhere near that amount.

BF babies take roughly 1 floz and hour so if she's having 2 or 3 floz at a time I'd say that was a really good amount

I'm not eating any allergens but my diet is now very restrictive. I was hoping to combine feed and at 12 months offer only neocate as DD can't drink dairy. I'll try the vanilla essence. Does it really change the taste that much? Neocate is such a strong flavour. Has your DD taken necocate?

Thankfully my DC don't have allergies, it's me with the CMPA but I've read on here so many times that Vanilla Essence works
