Hi,

DS is 18 months old, has CMPA, he has neocate for bottles (approx 2 bottles a day), and oat milk for cereal etc.

He has a healthy diet but as he has no dairy so I’m concerned he’s lacking important vitamins.

what vitamins would you recommend I give?

thank you

I think the main things they miss from not having dairy is fat, protein and calcium.

It's pretty easy to replace though. Boys can have oily fish up to 3 times a week which has healthy fats and protein.

Thirds like avocados will offer fat and protein too.

Some good sources of calcium are:

Dried figs (you could chop them up and add to cereal, like ready brek)

Fortified cereals and breads

Green leafy vegetables

Broccoli &

Scampi In breadcrumbs

There's a bit more info here.

Sorry posted too soon.

If you check the calcium content of the Neocate and Oatmupk against his daily needs in the link I posted, you'll probably find he's getting enough anyway Wink

You need to make sure he is getting calcium (350 mg a day), vitamin D and iodine. Does he take a multivitamin? All children over 6 months who have less than 17oz of formula a day should have a multivitamin.
